Erin Alvarez, LCSW-R, is a seasoned bilingual clinical social worker with 28 years of postmasters experience. She has practiced in a variety of outpatient mental health settings and began working in schools in 2008, where she served as Director of a school-based mental health clinic.
Since 2013, Erin has worked directly for school districts and currently serves as the primary mental health resource and support for students in a suburban public high school. She has witnessed first hand the steady increase in mental health needs in children and adolescents, and is a steadfast advocate for enhancing the quality and quantity of mental health services available to children and adolescents. At the same time, Erin is curious about the “why” behind these trends. Ultimately, when we address the root cause, we can begin to engage in preventive work, reducing distress and promoting wellness for children and teens.
